Welcome to Round One of the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop! You should have come from Pam, http://pammejo-scrapbookflair.blogspot.com/. If you are starting here and wish to hop from the beginning of the hop, please visit Dena, http://missdjones.blogspot.com/. There was so much response to the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop that it had to be split between two weekends. This is Round One and begins Saturday, Dec. 3rd, continuing through Sunday, Dec. 4th. Round Two will be held next weekend. We have a talented group of women who love papercrafting and baking. Each of them is sharing a recipe for a yummy Christmas treat along with a Christmas card or tag. Hopefully, you’ll pick up some great ideas for your own Christmas gift giving this season. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!
Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love to decorate and put up the tree. I love to sit in the dark and just stare at all the lights on my tree. Lets not forget how much I love to bake. I wish I had more time during the day so I can bake all the goodies I want. This year I'm making pumpkin spice cupcakes. I've never made them before so I hope they turn out wonderful and I bet they will. I'm also going to share with all of you a Christmas card I made.
Pumpkin spice cupcakes:
To make the cupcakes all you will need is one box pumpkin spice cake mix and one can of 100% pumpkin (don't use the already pumpkin pie mix)
Mix the cake mix and pumpkin together. It will be thick. After its mixed very well spoon ( I use an ice cream scooper, it scoops enough for each cupcake) the batter in each cupcake holder. and bake 20 mins on 350 degrees. Use a knife to check if their done. If the knife comes out clean their ready to come out. Let them cool and enjoy.
Ready to be cooked
Finished and ready to be eaten
The cupcakes came out great. They're so most. You would never believe how most they are without oil and eggs. I think I'm going to have another one.
I really love snowmen. I used a Tim Holtz snowmen die.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and great New Year. I have a little something for my old and new followers. Please become a follower and leave a comment to win the giveaway.
Wanted to share what I created for my sister on Secret Squirrel Sisterhood Society on facebook.
I really enjoyed altering the cigar box. Loved playing with pink. We had to fill the cigar box with a survival kit with goodies. So I filled my partner with ATG tape, hot glue sticks, bling, frame and other goodies. So if she ever got stuck she can bling away. And we also had to make a journal with a quotes. Here are some photos of what I made her.
Great cards Maria! I love that older stack from DCWV too - well I must admit I love most of their stacks :) Love the black stickles on the crow - did not even know there were black stickles! I am a new follower and loving what I have seen so far - love the Lady Gaga costume :)

Wow Emma is doing her first Design team call on My Creative Time. So I thought I would put my project in.
I made a photo frame out of chipboard of my dog Shelby. She was only 3 months old in this picture. I lost her after I took this picture of her. She was killed by the next door's pit bull. My heart was lost without her. But I'm doing much better and I wanted to make a project with her picture for my room.
Chipboard for the backing, I cut it into a circle
I used a doggie paper behind the picture
used ribbon around the edge
Used Elsie chipboard alpha to spell Shelby's name
Used I am roses and some mulberry flowers from Karla esty store
I hope you like my photo frame of my puppy. I think it turned out super cute.

The black crow I cut it out from the Midnight Spell stack and glittered him up with black stickles. Used a Happy Halloween ribbon for the banner on the card.
For the base of the card I used Mariposacardstock stack. For the background I used Midnight Spell stack from DCWV. For the banner I used a strip from the midnight spell stack For the haunted house I used a dimensional sticker from K&Company.

I'm part of the Secret Squirrel Sisters group on facebook. And I really love being part of this group. There is so many great ladies on there and I'm proud to call them my sisters. Each month we have a swap with a theme. And for September it was the partners choice if they wanted fall or Halloween theme cigar box or bead box. And my partner picked a Halloween bead box. The best part of the swap you don't know who is making your swap until it arrives at your home. I so love this group.
Here is my swap partner for September. Remember she wanted a Halloween theme bead box.
